The standard time to start alteration is 12 weeks before the wedding. However, there is no need to worry, that can be changed. Your alterations can be closer to your wedding day to make sure that your dress fits perfectly around your changing body on your big day. Making sure you keep your seamstress in the loop from the earliest point (even if you aren't telling many people) allows your seamstress to work out the best way forward.

This dress has a thick waist band, so Tracey begins with pinning the waist band a bit higher on the bodice so it sits above the bump, giving more room for the bump. The skirt is then pulled up slightly and pinned into the waistline. The dress will now be sitting comfortable on the bump. Ready for your wedding day!
