Here at Vicki's Bridal Boutique in Tenterden, Kent we pride ourselves in delivering our brides the best of British Bridal and do all we can to ensure they feel fabulous in their wedding dress, but we need a little help when it comes to the real magic! So this is where we turn to the team at The Wedding Dress Surgeons. Led by Nikki and Tracy this team of talented seamstresses work timeously to ensure our brides dresses are ready for the big day. With over 30 years of experience in every inch of the bridal industry there isn't much they haven't come across. The beauty with The Wedding Dress Surgeons is they aren't just seamstress they are creators , able to make the changes that take a wedding dress from the designers to the brides.
We feel extremely lucky to have them as part of our Vicki's extended team and whilst our brides don't have to use them, here are 5 reasons to use them:
Going on recommendation when it comes to seamstresses is always important. Making sure they have experience working in bridal. Yes it is an extra cost but consider the time and skills alterations require. We would always strongly considering our recommendations as the boutique.
The biggest plus side to using TWDS is that they know our dresses! There are many talented seamstresses out there, however working with a seamstress that work with the boutique means they have lots of experience with the designers. Being a boutique that stock designers that are less well known also means they may work in slightly different ways.
The team at TWDS will hem to the correct length, taken in where needed, and tweak anywhere else to ensure the dress fits perfectly. On top of this they are able to offer bespoke design changes from creation of sleeves to the adding of lace panels and so much more.
One of the most important reasons to use the TWDS is that we work as a team. As much as we do hand our brides over to them when it comes to all things alterations, we are always in the loop even if they see them in their studio rather than at the boutique. This means that anything that may arise in this time we can work together to resolve whether that be between us or even the designer, without our bride needing to worry.
Last but certainly not least!! We love seeing our brides and being able here about the final bits of preparations before the big day. We also know that this final push can feel a little daunting so we want to be there as a friendly face as the count down beginning.
