This week, our dress of the week comes from our designer House of Mooshki specialists in tea-length dresses, with the ability to be completely bespoke - even down to the colour, but we will get into that. And there is no better dress to introduce House of Mooshki with than Sarah, our gorgeous tea-length gown with an apricot satin and Ivory lace overlay.

Sarah has a beautiful boat neck with a scalloped lace edge on the neck, cap sleeve and hem. The satin underlay can come in pretty much any colour, whether that be ivory or neon green, with a matching ribbon to really pull you in at the waist. When it comes to having a colour on your House of Mooshki this is how it works; If the dress has a lace overlay this is the colour it will come in but any tulle, stain or satin trim can come in any of the colours on the chart, allowing you to create something really special.

As mentioned before, Sarah is a tea-length dress, sitting on the knee. However, she and all Mooshki dresses can come in 7 different skirt styles, Tea-length, Calf length, Pencil, High-low, Full Ballgown, Full Ballgown with Train and Fishtail. House of Mooshki start from £1700 to about £2500 which is largely determined by the skirt style.

Sarah has a gorgeous back, with the scallop edge continued into a lovely scoop back, finished covered buttons down to the waist, finished off with a bow in the thick satin sash. Compared to our other dresses, Mooshki dresses are quite weighty. However, the structure in these dresses offer you all need to make you feel super secure, with their full boned bodices and internal bra straps to take the weight.

Sarah is one of 6 House of Mooshki dress we have in the boutique, so if a short dress on the top of your bridal look wish lists why not come and give them a twirl at our boutique in Tenterden, Kent. https://www.vickisbride.co.uk/product-page/sarah

So this is our gorgeous April… Now she doesn’t have the best hanger apparel in the world, but when she is on she is simply stunning! (Megan’s personal fav!)

She is a gorgeous fit and flare by Nieve Couture, perfect if you are looking for a classic, sophisticated look for your big day. She has a fully boned bodice with a gorgeous plunge neck line that is mirrored at the back of the dress. She also has an internal bra strap, which is great for holding the weight of her on your waist and giving you a little more support. However, deep V-necklines can be something that feel a little scary (especially when we have been living in baggy jumpers and joggers for so long!!) but a modesty strip can be a great addition in alteration to add a little more coverage. Our advice would be to chat with your seamstress about adding this but after you have had a bust fully fitted, as once this is done, you may not feel you need it. It is amazing the difference alterations will make to how you feel in the dress.

April is a satin crêpe with a beautiful chiffon overlay, giving her a very romantic, lightweight look. And this is reinforced with the addition of the chiffon flutter sleeve, perfect for covering the top of the arm, a common problem area for us girls. If the sleeves aren’t your thing, April can also come without the chiffon sleeves, leaving you with a thick shoulder strap, which is just as stunning

The satin belt is great at drawing you in at the waist, this is also a great place to add a little bit of detail with a belt, allowing you to put your own stamp on her, whether that be with sparkle, lace, pearls or even a colour.

Last but not least, the back! April is a zip back with covered buttons to conceal the zip drawing the eye down to the gorgeous shaping around the hips which is enhanced with the seam detail running just under the bum. All finished off with a stunning chiffon train - perfect for those over the shoulder shots! You know the ones!

If you are thinking April could be the dress for you, why not come and give her a try at our boutique in Tenterden, Kent. https://www.vickisbride.co.uk/product-page/april

Introducing Danielle by Nieve Couture our bridge from the relaxed boho style of Kelsey Rose to more structured dresses of Nieve, whilst still delivering that Boho relaxed look. We recently took her to the Holmsted Events, Rustic Wedding Fair, where she got so much attention, as she is perfect for their tepee weddings.

Like Madison-Grace from last week, Danielle is also a subtle a-line but being a tulle skirt she holds her shape a little more. The multiple layers of tulle give her a romantic feel and keeps her lightweight even with a puddle train, perfect for a bride who wants to really enjoy her day whilst keeping a little bit of puff! The gorgeous appliqué from the bodice softens the strong waist band by flowing down into the top of the skirt, almost creating a pleating effect.

The exposed bodice of Danielle creates a sexy modern look whilst offering a bit of support at the same time. However, if the illusion bodice is a little too risky for you, Nieve also offer a filling in service when you order your dress. The heavy appliquéing and diamond stitch effect teamed with the exposed boning give her bodice an amazing amount of detail, which is continues the whole way round the dress. The soft sweetheart neck lines contrast the thick satin ribbon straps and waist band, continuing to create that modern feel to the dress, combining the traditional and modern styling. Danielle can also come without the straps if you want to go for a strapless look, which we love just as much!

Danielle is the perfect dress for a rustic Boho wedding, but like with any dress it is all about how you style her. She would look amazing going full festival vibes with a flower crown, but equally beautiful if you wanted a more traditional look with a veil and a bit of sparkle in your hair accessory.

If you would like more information on Danielle please get in touch or to try her on head to our boutique based in Tenterden, Kent. https://www.vickisbride.co.uk/product-page/danielle
